In Tewkesbury

With all this history Tewkesbury is a great place for a holiday with many interesting things to occupy you just outside Stonemason’s front door as well as further afield. Tewkesbury offers one of the best medieval townscapes in England, with its fine, half-timbered Tudor buildings, overhanging upper-storeys and ornately carved doorways. Discover the hidden charms along narrow alleyways where the eaves of crooked timber buildings nearly touch, or take a leisurely cruise along the river (seasonal opening). From the historic buildings and alley ways, to short strolls around the Ham, the battle trail and along the two rivers (the Severn and Avon) which meet here.

The towns of Cheltenham, Gloucester, Worcester and Evesham are all within 10 miles. Among the pretty Cotswold villages nearby , renowned for their attractive honey-coloured stone houses are Stow on the Wold, Bourton on the Water, Chipping Campden, Broadway and Stratford upon Avon.
